May 2011

After a very busy winter of construction, the site is now only 2 months away from completion.  If you look closely at the aerial photograph below, taken in April, you will see the beach stretching out to the left of the clubhouse, providing safe, easy access to the water.  Note how clear the water is in this part of the Mediterranean, and how green the land is.  Once construction has completed of course, the development will be fully landscaped: the white and brown areas around the villas will be replaced with the lush green of all the gardens, watered from our own irrigation system, and the blue of each of the swimming pools.

November 2010

On November 5, the Mariinsky Ballet danced for us and our guests at Cap St Georges.  We were also joined by soprano Irina Lungu and contemporary artist Gosha Ostretsov, as well as DJ Ura.  A fine night was had by all.  To see photos, please visit our gallery or download the the November newsletter.

All villas in Phase A are now complete to shell and teams of stonemasons have started to build the facades using ivory-coloured natural local stone.  Anodized aluminium window frames in charcoal grey, to contrast with the natural stone and the wooden shutters, are on order: these will be fitted during the first weeks of November.

José Carreras in Limassol

On 9th June, Cap St Georges had the honour of sponsoring a concert by legendary tenor, José Carreras, which took place in the open-air Municipal Gardens Theatre in Limassol.  After the concert, a number of our guests joined us and our guest of honour, Senor Carreras, in the theatre gardens for a champagne reception, elegantly hosted by Thanos Hotels, our service partner at Cap St Georges.

José Carreras’s voice was not the only one to thrill the audience that evening; our guests and we were enthralled by young Mexican singer Rebeca Olvera, the delicate beauty of whose soprano, both solo and intertwining in duet with Senor Carreras’s more familiar tenor, was the talking point of the evening.

Photographs from the concert and champagne reception can be found here: event.

March 2010

On 24th March, we will be holding a Champagne Reception and Presentation on Cap St Georges at the Continental Hotel, Oslo.  We are very fortunate that Mr Preben Aas (Partner, Steenstrup Stordrange) has agreed to present on Cyprus tax and law issues and answer questions afterwards.  Admission will be strictly by invitation list only, so please let us know in advance if you would like to attend (twc@capstgeorges.com).

February 2010

As at 9th February, the first three villas are ready for the first floor (ie top floor) slabs to be poured.  Work proceeds on the retaining walls between the front and second rows, required due to the 6m difference in elevation, after which the second row foundation slabs will be poured.

January 2010

We exhibited at the London Boat Show, bringing a promise of sunshine to snowbound London.  Meanwhile in Cyprus, construction continued apace, with the ground floors of all front row villas poured and second row foundations all excavated.

December 2009

The lower ground floors of all the front row villas are now poured, and we are moving on to the ground floors and swimming pools, whilst simultaneously starting excavation in the second row.

November 2009

Thank you to all our guests who joined us for drinks in the Astoria Hotel, St Petersburg.  We hope you all had an enjoyable evening.

October 2009

Please see the construction photos below, taken on 14th October 2009. To arrange a viewing, please contact twc@capstgeorges.com.

September 2009

In September we were able to recommence construction after a summer spent revising the masterplan in line with new statutory planning requirements. We mobilised again on 14th September, and construction has been moving ahead at full steam.

July 2009

Exciting news for non-European buyers looking to live in Cyprus: the government has introduced new immigration permits, which will grant the same privileges as a permanent residence permit, but will be obtainable much earlier in the buying process.

May 2009

At the beginning of May, we exhibited Cap St Georges in the Anassa hotel, and were very pleased to meet a number of hotel guests as well as visitors who had made a special trip from as far afield as Paphos, Limassol and Nikosia. The Anassa will manage the club facilities at Cap St Georges and so it was gratifying to hear so much positive feedback from its guests.

The 3D architect’s models, an extremely useful tool for understanding how the individual villas function while they are still under construction, have now taken up residence in the Coral Bay offices of our contractor, Korantina Homes. They are available to be viewed by appointment- please email Tom Wiseman-Clarke on twc@capstgeorges.com or call +44 7975 697131.

April 2009

The Cap St Georges show house is now looking stunning and never fails to impress visitors with the quality of its finishes, its intelligent building system, the views from its windows and terraces and its perfectly chilled champagne.

We took a stand at the boat show in Moscow, where we made many friends amongst the ocean-loving. We look forward to seeing our new friends in Cyprus over the coming months.

March 2009

March brought the first visitors of Spring. 30 March saw the movement of diggers on site as construction of Phase A got underway.

February 2009
February saw rain in Cyprus, replenishing reservoirs and changing the landscape to an emerald green- all the locals are delighted! Even through the storm clouds, the sun somehow manages to set the horizon ablaze before dissolving into the sea- amazing! Construction of Phase A (13 villas, 4 of which are already sold, plus clubhouse by the sea) starts next month- we are gearing up for a busy Springtime of viewings and sales.

January 2009
Phase A of the masterplan has been modified to include a greater number of smaller 3-4 bedroom Epsilon and Zeta villas, with internal areas from 295m2 to 390m2. All villas come with internal and external finishes, Private swimming pools and landscaped gardens.
